Benefits for the skin 2018-03-25T16:15:05+00:00

Obviously, a sunscreen’s main feature is that it offers protection from solar radiation. However, the importance of taking extra good care of the skin should not be underestimated. To this effect, Safe Sea contains the following ingredients:

  • Protección de la piel de los rayos en inviernoVitamins B and E – biological filters that act as antioxidants, avoiding the formation of free radicals
  • Bioplasma (plankton extract) – apart from preventing jellyfish stings, this extract provides nourishment to the skin
  • GAG and Glycoproteins – improve both the hydration and TEWL of the skin
  • Water in Oil – The formula of Safe Sea makes its emulsion highly biocompatible with the skin, makes it waterproof and achieves an excellent texture on the skin.

Below we detail the benefits of the different components:

1. VITAMINS B AND E: THE PERFECT ANTIOXIDANT COUPLE

UV Radiation, pollution and other environment and cellular condition generate unstable oxygen known as free radicals. (view image).

Seeking for stability the radical oxygen radical steal electrons from neighboring cells, causing that cell to now seek a new electron mate.

This creates a chain reaction of stealing electrons and bringing cells into unstable state and placing the body under oxidative stress.

Vitamins B (anti inflammatory agent) and E (anti oxidant) can block oxidative stress by donating electrons to stabilize the free radical (see image).

2. BIOPLASMA-FA (PLANKTON EXTRACT) – DEFENSE AND NUTRITION

Safe Sea plankton extract (Bioplasma and arginine ferrulate) benefits the skin with anti aging and anti stress properties that, only algae that can stand in the oceanic salinity, can provide.

Bioplasma aims to reduce skin ageing by acting on the global functioning of the cell (intracellular communication, energy, detoxification, replication). What distinguishes Bioplasma-FA is that it has been designed to be combined with other specific active ingredients, in order to provide the best solutions for the skin and skin ageing requirements.

3. GAG AND GLYCOPROTEINS – CELLULAR HYDRATION

Safe Sea contain GAG (Glycosaminoglycan) and Glycoprotein, which improve skin hydration and moisturizers.

GAGs and Collagen is the major skeleton of the extra cellular matrix (Figure A). These important molecules serve as a frame fro holding cells and major compound to provide hydration in the skin (Figure B). Depletion of GAG from intact tissue would influence skin smoothness and generates anti aging effects.

4. WATER IN OIL – EXCELLENT FEEL FOR THE SKIN

The structure of the lotion is simlar to cellular structure (Oil membrane around water soluble compounds) and is highly compatible with skin (figure). The formula provide best protection from environment, waterproof, sweat proof and recommended for face cream. Formulas have maximum capability to mantain skin hydration.
